About These Resources

The Army Fitness Test (AFT) replaced the ACFT in 2025 with updated scoring standards and body composition requirements. These official documents provide the authoritative guidance for Soldiers and unit leaders.

FM 7-22 Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) is the Army's comprehensive fitness doctrine. It covers the five domains of H2F: physical readiness, nutritional readiness, mental readiness, spiritual readiness, and sleep readiness. This manual is essential reading for understanding the Army's approach to Soldier fitness and performance.

The AFT Scoring Scales document contains point values for all five events: 3 Repetition Maximum Deadlift (MDL), Hand-Release Push-Up (HRP), Sprint-Drag-Carry (SDC), Plank (PLK), and 2-Mile Run (2MR). Scores are calculated based on age group and MOS category.

DA Form 705 is the official scorecard used to record AFT results. Graders use this form during testing, and it becomes part of the Soldier's official record.

AR 600-9 establishes the Army Body Composition Program, including height/weight screening tables and body fat calculation procedures. The 2025 Army Directive links these standards directly to AFT qualification.
